Here are some images from our day of shooting with Austrian model and PETA activist Sandy PPeng…………check out her AMAZING ink!!! (Also, check out the chocolate she brought me from Austria……..much needed after a long day! *grin).
I have had the pleasure of working with Sandy in the past, and was more than thrilled at the opportunity to style her again. Not only is Sandy beautiful, but she has graced the covers of magazines and billboards speaking out for PETA. Sandy brings awareness and compassion, and gives a voice to the helpless animals that die every year in vain. This is a topic that I am very passionate about, and I give my 100% love and support to anybody that has the heart and courage to take a stand against a trade that is so cruel and heartless.
Whenever I shoot with David Miller crazy things tend to happen, and this shoot was no exception. As a stylist, I am always schlepping around those big, colorful, plastic bags……..they tend to be large enough to fit EVERYTHING under the sun. In this case, apparently it became a good idea to fit a live model into one………..and so an idea was born! A big thank you to Carlotta Champagne and David Miller Photoworks for this great photo…….and a great reminder of how truly ridiculous those bags are to carry around every day! 😉
Cover of Tattoo Life Magazine by Photographer Christian Saint, featuring styling and corset by Jacci Jaye, and jewelry from Atelier Minyon. Rock ‘n Roll! *grin
Behind the scenes interview for the controversial editorial with Katya Zharkova in Plus Model Magazine, shot by photographer Victoria Janashvili. A big thank you to Atelier Minyon (www.AtelierMinyon.com) and Patty Tobin (www.PattyTobin.com) for providing the amazing jewelry for the shoot. Patty Tobin adorned me with her pearls for my shots………soooo fabulous! 😉
Myself with Make up artist Julia S. Dalton-Brush, Photographer Victoria Janashvili, and Plus size model Katya Zharkova talking about why this editorial means so much to us, and addressing the controversy surrounding it. These women are fabulous *grin ;-).
I am so proud to have had the opportunity to style this editorial. This is such an important issue, and plus size model Katya Zharkova was brave enough to bare all and show off her amazing body to prove that true beauty comes in all sizes. You can view the full article here, beginning on page 60: http://plus-model-mag.com/2012/01/plus-size-bodies-what-is-wrong-with-them-anyway/. The team that worked on this was AMAZING, and include photographer Victoria Janashvili, Make up artish Julia S. Dalton-Brush of Brush Beauty, and hair stylist Jen Paelmo. I was able to pull incredible jewelry from Atelier Minyon and pearls from Patty Tobin. This is a topic that is close to every woman, and I have ALWAYS been an advocate that beauty comes in every size. A big thank you to the amazing team that worked together to create these beautiful images……….as together I’m sure we give a voice to the millions of woman around the world that have been told by the fashion industry how they should look. Let us define true beauty for you……….the right way!
Behind the Scenes of the Plus Model Magazine shoot with Katya Zharkova at JV Studios in NYC. Check out the pic of Katya holding the tray of jewelry that I picked out for her at Atelier Minyon……….talk about BLING! You can also see a pic of myself, make-up artist Julia Dalton-Brush of Brush Beauty, and photographer Victoria Janashvili…………we call that shot, “it’s a wrap!” *grin
A preview of my Bond girl shoot in LA with Photographer David Miller (www.DavidMillerPhotoworks.com). I had been wanting to do a Bond girl shoot for awhile, and when David Miller proposed this shoot be done in LA, with models Luxbot Lacheln, Mosh, Alysha Nett, and Ulorin Vex, I was in!!! We began the day on the rooftop of an old bldg in LA. The whole team had to climb the fire escape with all of our equipment to get to the roof……………a good, and very fitting way to start this shoot ;-). This setting couldn’t have been more perfect, and I was given free reign to create some styling magic. These pictures are a preview……………as there are many more to come! *grin
Behind the scenes in Los Angeles of a day of shooting with photographer David Miller. Designer Leo Genaro of Genaro Designs was my partner in crime for the day as we styled models Ulorin Vex, Luxbot Lucheln, Mosh, and Alysha Nett.
In anticipation of Hurricane Irene we decided to define a sexy, rainy day in NYC. Together with Photographer Carlos Peralta and model Alba Mecaj we set the scene. The styling was inspired by taking a romantic, victorian era seductress and adding a modern rock ‘n roll twist………….a Jacci Jaye waist cincher, large chain jewelry, patterned fishnet stockings, and a very heavily adorned harness helped dress the mood ;-).
Elegant Boudoir. Styled by Jacci Jaye with Photographer Victoria Janashvili and make-up artist Julia Dalton-Brush of Brush Beauty at JV Studios in Manhattan. Sexy, flirty, seductive, powerful, elegant, and poised…………..a little Agent Provocateur and La Perla will bring out the best in any woman *grin ;-).
TC/TNT is one of my favorite muses…………so much so that she inspired me to not only hook her up with this amazing cincher, but also to make her some custom pasties………and who better to supply the bottoms than the legendary PantiChrist from Switzerland ;-).
“Plus fait douceur que violence” – Location: Castle Neu-Bechburg, Switzerland
Although every day is an adventure, it’s not every day that one finds themselves in an authentic castle in Switzerland. The setting defined seduction, and set the stage for an amazing day of shooting with Photographer Manuel Vargas, and Make-up/Hair artist Jacqueline Penza……….a rockstar team. Beauty, desire, passion, seduction, elegance, scintillation, power, and strength were the themes of the day. I can’t think of a more perfect setting for my corsets………..as this is exactly where a beautiful woman belongs *grin
