I have always been very inspired by the screen sirens of old Hollywood. Perhaps it was the grace, or the elegance, or the sophistication………..but everything seemed so beautiful and classy. For this shoot, I teamed up with Photographer Poe once again to create some beautiful images. Our model was Diana Banya, Hair by Kirsten Bode, and Make-Up by Fiona Thatcher. I used garments from Mission Control, Trasparenze, Pretty Polly, BCBG………….and of course Jacci Jaye corsets. I think all women should aspire to be this glamorous!
I have always loved bow ties. They make a man look dapper, classy, elegant, sexy, and most importantly; completely confident and in control. This series that I styled with Photographer Natalia Artemieva shows Stefan progressing through an evening. He begins his night playful….on the prowl….then things take an intense and sexy turn when he sets his eyes on someone in the room worthy of his seduction. What woman could resist this gaze?
These images are from a shoot I styled last weekend with Photographer Poe. I wanted to push the boundaries a little bit, using strong lines in the jewelry and lingerie to define strength and power. I selected designers that would enhance this aesthetic, pulling a corset and neck corset from D.Webb, stockings from Agent Provocateur, and big statement jewelry from Tavia Sanza. I even included one of my designs, a black satin garter belt that corsets up the back with satin ribbon. The end result equals mission accomplished…………strong, sexy, fierce…………beauty defined.
Welcome to Spring! Here is another teaser from the jewelry shoot that I styled with Photographer Natalia Artemieva, Make-up Artist Mina Dimakis-Lev, and model Lacey. Jewelry and flowers…………a sure fire way to make any woman happy!
I teamed up with Photographer Natalia Artemieva this past weekend to style a spring jewelry editorial. With Lacey as our model, and Mina Dimakis-Lev as our amazing make-up artist, we were able to create some super sexy images! I decided to use silver jewelry with various shades of blue stones…………which makes Lacey’s beautiful blue eyes pop. Spring is right around the corner………..and I can imagine this as a scene at the base of a beautiful waterfall or lagoon, or perhaps at the edge of a beautiful white sand beach with turquoise water in the background……….a girl can dream! *grin
Me with the Blue Man Group musicians at the Monte Carlo in Vegas. I had the pleasure of working with the Blue Man Group musicians to create a whole new rock ‘n roll aesthetic. After 5 trips to Vegas, it was finally opening night! What an amazing group of people to work with!
A day of shooting with Austrian model and PETA activist Sandy PPeng…………check out her AMAZING ink!!! (Also, check out the chocolate she brought me from Austria……..much needed after a long day! *grin)
Here is a page from the June issue of Giuseppina Magazine, featuring my styling on Ulorin Vex and Mosh, shot by David Miller Photoworks. Bond Style – DEFINED.
Whenever I shoot with David Miller crazy things tend to happen, and this shoot was no exception. As a stylist, I am always schlepping around those big, colorful, plastic bags……..they tend to be large enough to fit EVERYTHING under the sun. In this case, apparently it became a good idea to fit a live model into one………..and so an idea was born! A big thank you to Carlotta Champagne and David Miller Photoworks for this great photo…….and a great reminder of how truly ridiculous those bags are to carry around every day!
Cover of Tattoo Life Magazine by Photographer Christian Saint, featuring styling and corset by Jacci Jaye, and jewelry from Atelier Minyon. Rock ‘n Roll! *grin
Behind the scenes interview for the controversial editorial with Katya Zharkova in Plus Model Magazine, shot by photographer Victoria Janashvili. A big thank you to Atelier Minyon (www.AtelierMinyon.com) and Patty Tobin (www.PattyTobin.com) for providing the amazing jewelry for the shoot. Patty Tobin adorned me with her pearls for my shots………soooo fabulous!
Myself with Make up artist Julia S. Dalton-Brush, Photographer Victoria Janashvili, and Plus size model Katya Zharkova talking about why this editorial means so much to us, and addressing the controversy surrounding it. These women are fabulous *grin .
I am so proud to have had the opportunity to style this editorial. This is such an important issue, and plus size model Katya Zharkova was brave enough to bare all and show off her amazing body to prove that true beauty comes in all sizes. You can view the full article here, beginning on page 60: http://plus-model-mag.com/2012/01/plus-size-bodies-what-is-wrong-with-them-anyway/. The team that worked on this was AMAZING, and include photographer Victoria Janashvili, Make up artish Julia S. Dalton-Brush of Brush Beauty, and hair stylist Jen Paelmo. I was able to pull incredible jewelry from Atelier Minyon and pearls from Patty Tobin. This is a topic that is close to every woman, and I have ALWAYS been an advocate that beauty comes in every size. A big thank you to the amazing team that worked together to create these beautiful images……….as together I’m sure we give a voice to the millions of woman around the world that have been told by the fashion industry how they should look. Let us define true beauty for you……….the right way!
